In the 27 years I’ve been cursing cold sores, I’ve never found anything that works better for cold sores than than this cold sore zapper thing(vygone.com). Cold sores are herpes, its transmitted when the virus is active. Most the time when the virus is active it causes a cold sore(s) but still can be transmitted asymptomatically. The most common for oral herpes is type 1, but sometimes it can be type 2. Majority of the public have Herpes type 1 and around 1 in 4 have type 2. Majority of the public who have herpes have no idea they carry the virus. It is transmitted from skin to skin contact. Hope that helps!

One word: Valtrex. Yeah, yeah, I know it’s supposed to be for herpes type II, but it works on cold sores AMAZINGLY well. Gone before they even start. The only pain is that it’s perscription- I got it because my mouth scarred when i used to get those nasty things bad.

cold sores are not herpes unless they are on the outside of the lip. so if u have cold sores on the outside off ur mouth…..ur screwed

if your noticing a cold sore, rinse your mouth with salt and hot water and use a lot of vaseline, it goes away in a day or two (best to catch cold sore be4 it appears)

there is one for 140 and one for 160… I went with the 160 one cuz the battery life is a lot longer on the more expensive one
