How to Get Rid of Cold Sores

Cold sores are nasty blisters around the mouth area. Please do not confuse canker sores with cold sores. Because in a nutshell canker sores are painful ulcers or open sores inside the mouth and cheek and are not contagious. Cold sores however are contagious and are small red blisters that affect the mouth and facial areas. Cold sores are caused by Herpes Simplex Virus type 1 aka HSV-1. This is not to be confused with genital herpes.So, now you have an idea what cold sores are lets see what we can do about them. First off, if you’ve recently been infected with cold sores please note there is no cure that will 0 percent completely get rid of them. People with cold sores can have anywhere from a few to many outbreaks a year. However, there are certain treatments and remedies that can get rid of cold sores and prevent them from happening. So, in all reality if you can make your cold sores go away and prevent a cold sore outbreak then you have pretty much cured yourself in a sense where you won’t suffer from it anymore.1) There are a few natural treatments that some people have tried. It’s the use of a warm tea bag placed over the areas affected by cold sores. Now, your probably wondering what kind of tea should you use? Cause simply there are a huge variety of tea bags. I would say green tea would be the best choice just because green tea naturally has anti toxins that are naturally in it.2) Another natural treatment is the use of ” cold ice”. Thats right, using a cold ice cube over the areas affected by cold sores could possibly settle down the pain and blisters. Using cold ice or even ice cold water will bring down inflammation and this method has been used by many actors on a daily basis. Using cold ice or cold water after taking a shower brings down rashes, red marks, and could subside cold sores.Those are just a few inexpensive remedies I found to be interesting. Try the methods out, if they dont work then don’t lose hope.
