I wish that you recorded all the stages of it because there is no video of that here. I want to know if my cold sore is finished or is still there as the scab is gone but the skin is not like the rest of my lip…
It’s common for the skin to remain a little pink for a while after the scab falls off. As long as you didn’t pick at it and try pulling off the scab before it was ready to come off, it should eventually get back to normal. If you have some vitamin E, you could rub a little of that into the spot at bedtime or whenever.
One of these days, I’ll make another video of my lips without a cold sore. You and others will be able to see no scars remain. When I upload the new video, I’ll send you a note to take a look. Don’t hold your breath waiting. I’m a slow poke.
